LOCATION:  ALPHARETTA, GA OFFICE   

JOB TITLE: (1) Entry Level Marketing Representative

  • Tennessee Territory-GA office

 JOB DESCRIPTION:

 Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Identify new agency partners and develop and maintain the business relationships with those partners.
  • Attend independent agency functions and conventions throughout the state.
  • Collaborate with underwriting staff to promote Genesee General to contracted and prospective agencies.
  • The ability to meet an expected number of agency calls, understand agency contracts and licensing, and maintain a solid working knowledge of the underwriting process and carrier underwriting appetites.
  • Weekly reporting of agency visits.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast paced environment with communication activity back to manager.
  • Extensive travel is required.

SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Excellent communication skills: both  verbal and written
  • Strong Organizational Skills
  • Self Disciplined
  • Critical thinking and good judgement to quickly determine and prioritize key issues
  • Meeting Facilitation Skills; Ability to professionally conduct large group meetings
  • Bachelor’s Degree required

 

LOCATION:  ALPHARETTA, GA OFFICE 

JOB TITLE: Assistant Underwriter-Programs Division

 JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Support underwriting staff as follows:
    • Bind and set up new business
    • Quote new business on occasional and ‘as needed’ basis
    • Report claims
    • Process DNOC’s and Reinstatements
    • Issue binders, policies, and endorsements
    • Quote accounts which need to be remarketed
    • Attend meetings with carrier underwriters
    • Attend agency visits when required by underwriter
    • Other assignments as directed by underwriter or manager/supervisor

SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Strong customer service skills (verbal and written)
  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Microsoft Word/Excel
  • Insurance background and/or experience preferred
  • Strong Work Ethic
